When I first started working for Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in November 2011, I started working on a new identity for them almost immediately … learning what would work, what the school was all about, what the “life-beat” of the school really was. Finally, it all came to a happy conclusion in a logotype and icon that can give a nod to the heritage of the school while keeping a clean look and feel that should last into the future.
Well, until that future included a complete name change, that is (Mountain Gateway Community College)

Logo design is not new to me, but this was my first College logo, and I am rather happy with how it turned out. I also created the Branding Guidelines and secondary logo (below).
